Top 10 Books on My Winter ’25-’26 TBR | TTT

1. People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry

I initially picked this one up over the summer and sort of wanted to DNF after a chapter. After setting it aside for a while, I’ve decided to give it a more fair shot now. It’s actually my main current read at the moment!

2. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

I (finally!) picked this one up within the last few months for a local book club. Unfortunately, I didn’t finish it in time and ended up putting it on pause for a while. It seems like the best book I’ve read in quite some time, so I definitely want to finish it soon!

3. Disfigured: On Fairy Tales, Disability, and Making Space by Amanda Leduc

This is another one I had on my summer TBR! I’ve been reading it a few pages at a time whenever I’m sitting somewhere waiting. It’s a very intriguing read, and I’d definitely like to finish it this winter!

4. The Mark of Athena (The Heroes of Olympus, #3) by Rick Riordan

I’ve listened to the first two Heroes of Olympus audiobooks this year and enjoyed them. I’m planning on carrying through the rest of the series similarly!

5. The Emotional Wound Thesaurus: A Writer’s Guide to Psychological Trauma by Angela Ackerman & Becca Puglisi

I’ve referenced the more popular book in this series some (The Emotion Thesaurus), but I’m particularly interested in what this one has to offer!

7. The Fantasy Fiction Formula by Deborah Chester

This is the last writing craft book on this list, I promise! Continuing with the fantasy writing trend, I’d really love to give this book a read and glean what I can from it.

8. The Obelisk Gate (The Broken Earth, #2) by N.K. Jemisin

After far too long, I recently finished The Fifth Season, the first book in this trilogy. I think reading it over the many months I did impeded the experience a bit, but I think I’d like to continue with the series (although I spent most of the first book fairly confused). I do enjoy the strong world and characters!

9. The Poppy War (The Poppy War, #1) by R. F. Kuang

I’ve been wanting to read this series (and anything by R. F. Kuang) for ages, and I recently got a copy of this one! I’m not sure if I’ll actually get to it this winter, but it’s one I’m definitely interested in generally.

10. Local Heavens by K. M. Fajardo

One of my 2025 reading goals was to focus more on backlog books than new releases. I would say I’ve done a decent job with that, but this is a new release I’ve been awaiting for a while! It’s been sitting on my bedside table since its October release, patiently waiting for me to finish all of my current reads. I definitely want to read this one soon!
